Kye 3.0
Kye 3.0 is a little puzzle game created in
1992 by Colin Garbutt.
Our objective now is to recreate this game with actual technologies and add some
features
What you can do?

For now, we do not need new deveoppers because we are in a transition state

But you can test our program and send us bug reports

Whoever you are, you can play the game.

Beta 10
- Must put the new practice level in default.kye
instead of the original one
- Must find other ideas..

- The creature movement is not conform to the originals.
Each type of creature must have its own 'personnality'.

Beta 9
- Kye 3.0 still uses way too much CPU...

- Added teleporter objects. Level
characters are "(" for west, ")" for east, "_" for south,
and "'" for north. Teleporters can be pushed if Kye tries
the incorrect entry direction or if a Bouncer pushes them
(in ANY direction)...
Beta 8
- Fixed both Named Level
bugs...
- Kye 2.0 Mouse Control
- Mouse movement is
functional in scrolling mode.
- Made Diamond animations
slightly differ in timing.
Beta 7
- Loading named levels will put
a wall3 underneath Kye.
- Loading named levels (and
reloading the current level) fail to find/use Scroll
levels.
- Mouse movement is broken in
scrolling levels.
- Bouncers now push Blackys
correctly.
- Sped up Bouncers a bit to match
Kye 2.0 timing.
- Fixed the slowdown caused
by the looping edges...
It should run at a proper speed
now... Uses a tad bit more RAM tho...
- Remade the "practice" level in
DEFAULT.KYE to make use of the looping edges better.
The cages were rebuilt and now there is two Rockys
falling forever North and South...
- Implemented looping edges;

- Keyboard controlled from 66/sec to 100/sec.
- Loading a level by name no longer causes an error.
Beta 6
- Blackys aren't pushed by Bouncers correctly.
- Creatures clone themselves
with sticky blocks.

- More improvement of CPU usage.
From previous improvement, about 66% is now
used...
- CPU usage greatly improved from
10% to 25%
(25% DEFAULT.KYE level 1; 10% a more complex
level)
- Titlebar now updates when a

- Bouncers speeds are wrong...
- Titlebar doesn't update when
a different file is loaded.
- Diagonal movement is
broken.
- Inactive framerate is slower
since speeding it up on my system (a Pentium III 800)
caused it to run slow (menus, etc).
- DEFAULT.KYE level 2 is now
beatable! I can't beat level 3 in Kye 2.0 so it'd be
nice if someone could test that...
- Rockys now prefer to go to
the right when going around a round object. This fixes
a bug which caused rockys to not make an even
pile.
- Conflicting object paths no
longer erase any objects.
- Shrank EXE size by 36k by
combining multi-directional objects into 1 code
routine.
- Bouncers now push objects!
- Anti-clocker and Clocker are
functional.
- Keyboard control slowed to 100
moves/sec.
- Mouse control now works much
better.
Beta 4
- Bouncers speeds are wrong...
- Titlebar doesn't update when
a different file is loaded.
- Sometimes, randomly, a slider, or
other self-moving object will overwrite another that gets in
the way.
- Bouncers don't push objects.
- Rockys now go around curved walls.
Help: The
Game now has a small HTML Help document.

will now attempt to launch the Kye Editor if it is
